Alan Lee LicAc ND DO CFMP

I graduated from Oxford Brookes University School of Osteopathy in 1993, and had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of Leon Chaitow for the subsequent 5 years.  Alongside this, I built a successful Practice near Glasgow, which I ran for 28 years, before moving to Staffordshire in 2021, joining Lichfield Osteopathic Practice in December the same year.

Post-graduate studies have included training with the Upledger Institute of Cranio-Sacral Therapy, which has led to a special interest in Paediatric Osteopathy, and the health and disorders of the brain.

Further studies in Neuroscience has taken me to America, where I have undertaken post-graduate studies in migraines, headaches, the Neurochemistry of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and childhood development disorders, including ADHD, dyslexia, and learning difficulties.

I am currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Functional Medicine; this is the study of how to restore and maintain optimal function of the biochemistry of all the body systems and organs via nutrition, supplements, detoxification, stress management, exercise and lifestyle.

As a former professional footballer, who suffered major back and joint injuries, I have great empathy for my patients.  My approach is based on clear diagnosis and treatment working towards normalizing function.

I look forward to seeing you at the Practice
